The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has officially released the Institute of National Importance Super-Specialty (INI-SS) July 2026 Stage 1 results today, May 6. Candidates who appeared for the computer-based test (CBT) can now access and download their results from the official website at aiimsexams.ac.in.
Exam and Next Steps
The INI SS July 2026 CBT was conducted on April 25, 2026. Candidates who have successfully cleared the Stage 1 examination are now eligible to appear for the departmental assessment, which constitutes the second stage of the admission process. The final results will be compiled after the completion of this assessment.
Merit Lists
AIIMS releases two distinct types of merit lists:
- Common Merit List
- AIIMS Merit List
Only those candidates whose names appear in the AIIMS merit list will be called for the departmental assessment (Stage 2).
Counselling and Admission Process
To participate in the counselling process, qualified candidates must complete the following steps:
- Register online
- Fill in their preferred colleges and specialisations
Admissions will be offered to the following super-specialty courses:
- Doctorate of Medicine (DM)
- Magister Chirurgiae (MCh)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Hospital Administration

- Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry
- Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh
- National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru
- Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram
- Other participating AIIMS institutes
