UPITEX 2026 Set to Transform Lucknow into a Trade Hub for MSMEs
Lucknow prepares to host the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo, known as UPITEX 2026. This major event will run for five days from January 23 to January 27. It takes place at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan venue in the city.
A Strategic Platform for Business Growth
The expo aims to establish itself as a crucial platform for trade and investment across North India. Its primary focus lies on empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, commonly called MSMEs. Organizers plan to strengthen these businesses by providing better access to both national and international markets.
This initiative also seeks to reinforce Uttar Pradesh's reputation as a leading industrial destination. The event has received approval under the Ministry of MSME's PMS scheme, ensuring official support and recognition.
Key Organizers and Collaborations
The UP chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or PHDCCI, leads the organization of UPITEX 2026. They work in close collaboration with Invest UP and the One District One Product initiative, known as ODOP. This partnership combines expertise from industry bodies and government agencies to maximize the expo's impact.
Aligning with Economic Vision
UPITEX 2026 directly supports Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's ambitious vision for the state's economy. The goal is to achieve a one trillion dollar economy for Uttar Pradesh. The expo will contribute by integrating MSMEs into global value chains more effectively.
Additional objectives include promoting indigenous industries and strengthening rural livelihoods. The event also aims to support the growing start-up ecosystem within the state, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Diverse Showcase of Sectors and Products
Visitors can expect a wide spectrum of sectors represented across more than four hundred stalls. Traditional clusters will feature prominently, highlighting Uttar Pradesh's rich artisanal heritage.
Notable displays will include Moradabad brassware and Firozabad glass products. Bhadohi-Mirzapur carpets and various Khadi products from across UP will also take center stage.
Engineering and leather clusters from several cities will participate actively. These include contributions from Kanpur, Auraiya, Agra, and Aligarh, showcasing the state's industrial diversity.
The expo promises to offer valuable networking opportunities and business insights for all attendees. It represents a significant step toward economic growth and MSME development in the region.
