In a landmark development for Indian Railways, the nation's first Vande Bharat sleeper train is set to revolutionize long-distance travel on the Guwahati to Kolkata route. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the details of this premium service, announcing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the train soon.
A New Era in Premium Rail Travel
The introduction of the Vande Bharat sleeper variant marks a significant upgrade in overnight train journeys. Minister Vaishnaw detailed the advanced specifications of the train, which is designed for a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. The train will consist of 16 coaches, meticulously configured to offer comfort across different passenger segments.
