Bihar Tourism Secretary Urges Investment in High-Quality Facilities
Bihar Tourism Secretary Calls for Investment in Tourism Infrastructure

In a significant push to enhance Bihar's tourism landscape, State Tourism Secretary Nilesh Ramchandra Deore on Thursday called upon investors to develop high-quality tourism facilities throughout the state. Emphasizing the need for upgraded infrastructure, Deore highlighted the importance of constructing star-rated hotels, clean and organized amenities, modern conference halls, and amusement parks to attract more visitors.

Financial Incentives Under Bihar Tourism Policy

During a virtual meeting held on Thursday, Deore pointed out that the state government is offering substantial financial support, with up to 30% assistance available under the Bihar Tourism Policy. He encouraged entrepreneurs to take full advantage of this incentive to boost their projects and contribute to the state's tourism growth.

Interactive Session with Entrepreneurs

The meeting saw participation from 21 entrepreneurs who are currently availing facilities under the Bihar Tourism Policy. These participants joined from various parts of the state, allowing Deore to interact with each one individually. He reviewed the progress of their ongoing projects and advised those who had received first-stage approval for grants to proceed with applications for the second stage, which involves financial approval.

Addressing Loan Disbursement Delays

Deore also addressed concerns regarding delays in loan disbursement from banks. He urged entrepreneurs facing such issues to inform the tourism department promptly. To facilitate smoother processes, he announced that the department would organize meetings with bank representatives to ensure faster loan disbursement, thereby reducing hurdles for investors.

Vision for District-Wide Tourism Development

Outlining a broader vision, Deore stated that the department aims to develop tourism facilities in every district of Bihar. This initiative is designed to ensure that tourists do not face any inconvenience during their visits. He appealed to entrepreneurs to motivate their friends and associates to invest under the tourism policy, fostering a collaborative spirit.

"The more you work with a spirit of hospitality, not only will your business grow but the state will also become a better choice for tourists," Deore remarked, underscoring the mutual benefits of such investments.

Showcasing Success Stories

Later, Deore shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring a hotel built by a young Bihar-based entrepreneur in West Champaran under the tourism policy. The hotel's architecture, resembling that of a palace, was highlighted as an example of innovative design. In his post, Deore congratulated the entrepreneur and expressed admiration for his enthusiasm and ideas.

"Congratulations on the project being taken up under the Bihar Tourism Policy. I interacted with the project's entrepreneur today and found him highly enthusiastic and rich in ideas. Such young and dynamic entrepreneurs are essential for expanding the horizons of Bihar tourism," he wrote on X.

This move by the tourism secretary reflects Bihar's commitment to transforming its tourism sector by leveraging private investment and government support, aiming to position the state as a premier destination for travelers.
