Kolkata: The West Bengal government will extend full support to industries and eliminate all barriers to investment, state cabinet minister Dilip Ghosh announced at a recent event. Speaking at the inauguration of the India Global Grand Trade Fair (IGGTF), organized by the Bharat Chamber of Commerce last week, Ghosh emphasized the government's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.
Government's Pro-Business Stance
Ghosh stated that several decisions favoring businesses and the public have already been taken within weeks of the new government assuming office. He highlighted the importance of infrastructure development for industrial growth, noting that industries cannot thrive without proper connectivity between villages and industrial centers.

The minister outlined critical areas for improvement, including the repair of rural roads, better connectivity between villages and industries, and the expansion of transport and logistics networks. These measures are essential to ensure the smooth movement of raw materials and finished goods, which is vital for industrial prosperity.
Naresh Pachisia, president of the Bharat Chamber of Commerce, also addressed the session, underscoring the collaborative efforts between the government and industry stakeholders to drive economic growth in the state.
