The Chandigarh administration is set to commence the auction process for 10 residential sites starting Tuesday. These plots, varying in size from 100 square yards to 502 square yards, will be sold through an e-auction later this month.
Key Dates and Application Process
Interested bidders can submit applications and deposit the earnest money deposit (EMD) from June 2 to June 23. The reserve prices for these properties range between Rs 3.3 crore and Rs 16.5 crore, depending on the plot size. An additional 5% charge will apply for corner plots.
The scrutiny of applications and document approval will take place from June 24 to June 26. The e-auction itself will be conducted from June 27 to June 29, with the entire process expected to be completed within a month.
Plot Locations and Requirements
The identified sites are located across sectors 15-B, 20, 21, 23, 27-D, 30-A, 37-A, 44, and 44-B. The estate office has made it mandatory for bidders to possess a valid digital signature certificate (DSC) to submit documents online.
Applicants must register on the official e-auction portal (eauction.gov.in) through the "bidder enrolment" option and create a unique username and password. After enrolment, bidders are required to link their DSC with their profile. Only one DSC per bidder will be valid, and the administration has cautioned applicants against sharing their DSCs to prevent misuse.
