Southern Railway has temporarily augmented the Chennai Central – Coimbatore – Chennai Central Shatabdi Express trains to accommodate the increasing travel requirements of passengers. Train No. 12243 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Jn Shatabdi Express has been temporarily augmented with one additional AC chair car. This extra coach will remain in service until July 6. Similarly, Train No. 12244 Coimbatore Jn – Chennai Central Shatabdi Express has also been temporarily augmented with one AC chair car, which will be in service until the same date.
