UPSIDA Launches Week-Long Investor Facilitation Camps Across Key Industrial Zones

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has announced a comprehensive investor facilitation initiative that will span multiple industrial areas across the state. From February 9 to February 16, more than 100 Mukhyamantri Udyami Mitras will organize specialized camps in three prominent UPSIDA industrial zones: Surajpur in Gautambuddhnagar, Ghaziabad, and Sandila in Hardoi.

Objective and Scope of the Initiative

According to an official UPSIDA communique, the primary goal of this drive is to provide on-ground guidance and support to industrial units, with a particular focus on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The initiative aims to facilitate factory registration through dedicated hand-holding and issue resolution, ensuring that businesses can seamlessly integrate into the state's industrial framework.

The camps are designed to address a wide range of investor queries and procedural requirements. Industrial units that are already in commercial production or at various developmental stages will receive assistance with clarifications related to:

  • Registration processes
  • No Objection Certificates (NOCs)
  • Incentives and subsidies
  • Documentation and other regulatory compliance

Digital and Paperless Process Enhancement

A key feature of this initiative is its technology-enabled approach. Supported by regional managers, the facilitation camps will leverage a simple, digital, and paperless process through a dedicated mobile application. This digital tool is expected to enhance efficiency by allowing Udyami Mitras and regional managers to share information and update statuses with ease.

The communique further emphasized that units which have already received NOCs under the GBC framework, as well as those that have commenced commercial production, will be encouraged and supported to complete their factory registration. This step is crucial to ensure these enterprises are well-positioned to avail themselves of government facilitation and policy support.

Broader Impact on Ease of Doing Business

By streamlining factory registration, this initiative is poised to help industrial units access the various benefits offered by the Uttar Pradesh government. The approach is strategically aimed at reducing procedural hurdles, improving the ease of doing business, and strengthening investor confidence across the state.

In addition to supporting regulatory alignment, the initiative is anticipated to contribute significantly to employment generation and local economic growth. It also reinforces Uttar Pradesh's expanding industrial ecosystem by maintaining a supportive and investor-friendly environment.

Officials highlighted that this technology-enabled facilitation drive reflects the state's continued commitment to hand-holding investors, thereby simplifying processes, improving data visibility, and enhancing transparency throughout the industrial development landscape.
