Toyota India Sales Up 15% in Jan 2026, Unveils New EV

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced its sales performance for January 2026, showcasing robust growth across key segments. The automaker reported combined sales of 33,880 units during the month, reflecting a significant year-on-year increase of 15 percent compared to the 29,371 units sold in January 2025.

Domestic Market Leads Growth Momentum

Sales in the domestic market demonstrated particularly strong performance, rising to 30,630 units. This represents a notable 17 percent growth over the 26,178 units recorded in the same month last year. The company attributes this sustained demand to the popularity of its core models, including the Innova Crysta, Hycross, and Fortuner.

The Innova Crysta recently crossed the impressive milestone of 12 lakh sales, underscoring its enduring appeal among Indian consumers as a preferred multi-purpose vehicle.

Export Performance Shows Modest Improvement

Export figures also saw positive movement, albeit at a more moderate pace. Toyota exported 3,250 units in January 2026, edging up from 3,193 units in the corresponding period last year. This translates to a growth rate of 2 percent, indicating steady international demand for the company's vehicles.
