The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) has officially launched the three-day Energy Power Electrical Expo 2026, which commenced on February 6 at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sarsana. This significant event is set to run through February 8, bringing together key stakeholders from across the nation.

The expo's inaugural event on Friday featured Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan as the guest of honour, adding prestige to the occasion. His presence underscores the national importance of this gathering, which aims to foster collaboration and innovation in the energy sector.

Organized under the theme 'Powering the Future – Today', the expo places a strong emphasis on green energy, smart infrastructure, and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. SGCCI President Nikhil Madrasi elaborated on the event's goals, stating that it is designed to promote comprehensive development in the energy, power, and electrical sectors.

"This is not merely an exhibition but a platform for advanced technology, innovative products, and sustainable solutions," Madrasi emphasized. "Our objective is to create an effective bridge between government policies, PSU capabilities, and industrial innovation, driving forward the nation's energy independence."

According to SGCCI Vice-President Ashok Jirawala, a total of 60 exhibitors from various parts of the country are participating in the expo. The breakdown includes:
