In a strategic move to address the escalating passenger rush, the railways has rolled out a special passenger train on the heavily trafficked Patna–Gaya section under the Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR). According to Abhinav Siddarth, the senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) at Danapur, the daily special train, numbered 03611/03612, will operate with a fixed schedule to enhance convenience. The train departs from Gaya at 5 am, arriving at Patna by 8 am, and makes stops at all stations along the route. For the return journey, it leaves Patna at 5.15 pm, reaching Gaya at 8.35 pm, again halting at all designated stations.
This special service is equipped with 22 coaches, featuring basic amenities such as toilet facilities to ensure passenger comfort during the trip. The introduction of this train is a direct response to the growing demand on this critical corridor, which already sees significant rail activity.

The Patna–Gaya section is a vital link in the region's transportation network, currently supporting at least 14 pairs of passenger trains on a regular basis.
