Western Railway Introduces Special Holi Festival Trains on Vadodara-Khatipura Route
In a strategic move to accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger numbers during the vibrant Holi festival period, Western Railway has officially announced the operation of special fare trains connecting Vadodara and Khatipura. This initiative aims to provide enhanced travel convenience and manage the expected influx of celebrants and travelers.
Official Announcement and Schedule Details
According to an official release issued by Anubhav Saxena, the Public Relations Officer for the Vadodara division of Western Railway, the special train services will be identified as train numbers 09103 and 09104. These trains will operate on a weekly basis, completing a total of 10 trips throughout the designated festival timeframe.
Train 09103 Vadodara–Khatipura Special: This service will depart from Vadodara every Sunday at 9:35 PM, arriving at Khatipura at 2:10 PM the following day. The operational period for this route is scheduled from March 1 to March 29.
Train 09104 Khatipura–Vadodara Special: In the return direction, this train will leave Khatipura every Monday at 8:55 PM, reaching Vadodara at 11:30 AM the next day. This service will run from March 2 to March 30.
Comprehensive Route and Halting Stations
The special trains will follow a consistent route in both directions, making scheduled stops at multiple key stations to facilitate passenger boarding and alighting. The halting stations include:
