Skoda Kushaq Facelift Set for March 2026 Launch with Pre-Bookings Now Live

Skoda Auto India has officially confirmed the launch date for the highly anticipated Skoda Kushaq facelift SUV, scheduled for March 21, 2026. The company has already commenced pre-bookings for the updated model, allowing interested customers to secure their units either online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to kick off by the end of the same month, marking a significant milestone for the brand in the competitive Indian automotive market.

Enhanced Warranty and Competitive Positioning

To boost customer confidence, Skoda is offering an attractive extended warranty package for the new Kushaq. This includes up to six years of comprehensive warranty coverage, a six-year corrosion warranty, and a three-year paint warranty. The SUV continues to vie for dominance in the mid-size SUV segment, directly competing with established rivals such as the Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, and Maruti Suzuki Victoris.

First Facelift Since 2021 with Notable Updates

This launch represents the first facelift for the Kushaq since its initial debut in 2021, bringing a host of cosmetic and feature enhancements. The SUV is available in five distinct variants: Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. While the overall silhouette remains unchanged, the exterior has undergone a significant redesign.

Exterior Changes: The front end now boasts a redesigned grille with chrome accents, slimmer headlamps, and a new LED DRL signature that spans across the grille. A fresh skid plate and honeycomb-style bumper add to the aggressive look. Side profiles feature subtle updates with newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels and thicker black cladding for improved road presence. At the rear, the SUV gets a redesigned tailgate with connecting LED taillights and glowing 'SKODA' lettering. Additional exterior highlights include a shark fin antenna, silver skid plate, rear wiper with washer, roof rails, and an integrated spoiler.

Interior Upgrades and Advanced Features

Inside, the cabin retains a familiar layout but receives minor tweaks and substantial feature additions. Key elements include a capacitive climate control panel, a two-spoke steering wheel, and updated control panels. The infotainment system is headlined by a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, paired with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.

Notable interior features:

  • Six-speaker Skoda sound system with subwoofer and amplifier
  • Automatic climate control
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Leatherette seats
  • Electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation
  • AI companion powered by Google
  • Segment-first rear massager

Safety and Mechanical Specifications

Safety remains a top priority, with the Kushaq facelift equipped with six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, all-wheel disc brakes, rain-sensing wipers, a defogger, and an auto IRVM. It has also earned a five-star safety rating from GNCAP for both adult and child occupants.

Mechanically, the SUV continues with two engine options:

  1. A 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 115 hp and 175 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed torque converter automatic (replacing the previous 6-speed unit).
  2. A 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine delivering 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, exclusively mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

With these updates, the Skoda Kushaq facelift aims to strengthen its position in the Indian SUV market, offering a blend of style, technology, and performance to discerning buyers.
