The Rajasthan state government has approved five projects worth over Rs 18 crore to enhance the quality of One District One Product (ODOP) items in Dausa, Churu, Didwana-Kuchaman, Phalodi, and Balotra districts, bringing them up to international standards.
Committee Approval and Funding
A state-level committee chaired by Chief Secretary V Srinivas sanctioned these projects under the Panch Gaurav programme. The committee released Rs 10.76 crore in the first phase for immediate implementation.
Project Details by District
Industry Commissioner Neelabh Saxena provided details about the projects, which include common facility centres, testing labs, and storage infrastructure.
- Dausa: A Rs 3.30 crore technology facilitation centre will modernize stone-based products with advanced cutting and finishing capabilities.
- Churu: A Rs 2.5 crore BIS testing lab and seasoning facility will be set up for wooden handicrafts.
- Didwana-Kuchaman: A Rs 5.05 crore CNC machine technology centre will enhance stone processing.

Ongoing and Future Initiatives
Saxena added that projects worth Rs 5.85 crore are already under implementation in six districts. These include a multi-utility centre in Chittorgarh, a rural haat in Hanumangarh, a trade facilitation centre in Didwana-Kuchaman, craft village renovation in Jhunjhunu, CFC expansion in Kota, and an exhibition hall in Rajsamand.
Under the ODOP policy 2024, each of Rajasthan’s 41 districts has a designated product. MSMEs receive margin money grants up to Rs 20 lakh, along with support for advanced technology, quality certification, IPR, marketing, and e-commerce integration.
Expected Impact
Officials believe these incentives will help reduce production costs, improve competitiveness, and expand Rajasthan’s footprint in global markets.
