Patna: Pankaj Kumar Gupta has officially assumed charge as the project head of NTPC Kanti, marking a new chapter in the power plant's leadership. Currently serving as chief general manager, Gupta brings with him an extensive career spanning over 34 years in the power sector.
Career Journey
Gupta joined NTPC in 1991 as an executive trainee and has since held several key positions across the organisation. His contributions span project engineering, mechanical systems, energy transition, environmental management, and strategic planning. Over the decades, he has played a pivotal role in shaping NTPC's operational and strategic initiatives.
Previous Assignments
Before his new role, Gupta served at NTPC Kahalgaon, the Corporate Centre, the Energy Transition & Policy Group, and most recently at NTPC Meja. At each of these positions, he handled important assignments that further honed his expertise in the power sector.
Educational Background
Academically, Gupta holds a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Lucknow University and an MTech in Applied Mechanics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. His strong educational foundation has been instrumental in his professional achievements.
