MPIDC to Launch E-Bidding for Mandsaur Industrial Plots in April Amid Strong MSME Demand

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is set to initiate the allotment of industrial plots at Jaggakhedi Phase 2 in Mandsaur starting from April, utilizing an e-bidding process. This strategic move comes in response to robust demand from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and agro-based industries, aiming to accelerate industrialization in the district.

Plot Details and Development Phases

Phase 2 of Jaggakhedi comprises a total of 188 industrial plots, meticulously designed to cater to enterprises of varying scales, from small to large, accommodating diverse investment capacities. Officials have confirmed that the initial booking will open for Part A, which includes 60 plots, with the entire phase developed in four distinct parts. The indicative rate for these plots is approximately Rs 170 per square foot, making them accessible to a wide range of investors.

This development follows the complete occupancy of Phase 1, highlighting the growing industrial interest in the region. The new phase has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of sectors such as food processing, spice and agro-based industries, plastic and packaging manufacturers, engineering workshops, and small textile units, which have shown increased enquiries for setting up operations in Mandsaur.

E-Bidding Process and Infrastructure Support

MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathore emphasized that the e-bidding process is designed to ensure equal opportunity for all investors, with plots allotted to the highest bidders on a 99-year lease strictly for industrial use. Under the e-bidding norms, participants must deposit 25% of the total premium amount in advance to secure their involvement, fostering a transparent and competitive environment.

To support long-term industrial operations, comprehensive infrastructure developments are underway. Officials have announced that from August, piped water supply will be extended to each industrial plot, while power connectivity through an 11 KVA sub-station line is being prepared. Additionally, wide internal roads, drainage, and sewerage systems are being developed to enhance the operational efficiency and sustainability of the industrial zone.

Strategic Goals and Market Confidence

Rathore further stated, "Jaggakhedi Phase 2 has been developed keeping in mind demand from MSMEs and agro-based industries. The e-bidding process will ensure equal opportunity for all investors. With Phase 1 fully occupied, we are confident that Phase 2 will attract strong response." This initiative aligns with MPIDC's broader objective of boosting industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh, leveraging the district's potential to attract diverse manufacturing and processing units.

The planned allotment through e-bidding not only streamlines the process but also mitigates delays, ensuring that plots are allocated efficiently to meet the burgeoning demand. As industries continue to seek expansion opportunities, Jaggakhedi Phase 2 stands poised to become a key hub for economic development in the region, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure and a strategic focus on key sectors driving India's industrial landscape.
