Mercom India Awards 2026 Recognize Clean Energy Leaders
The Mercom India Awards 2026, presented by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi, celebrated breakthrough innovations in renewable energy across 13 categories. The awards were announced during the sixth edition of the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026, held at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi under the theme "Where Policy Meets Ambition."
Winners Span Industry and Academia
The winners included Tata Power Renewables for Best Large-Scale Solar Project, Adani Green Energy for Best Hybrid Project, and The Energy Consortium at IIT Madras for Research-to-Innovation. IIT Gandhinagar received the Clean Energy Research Impact award. Other winners in the corporate sector included TrueRE Oriana Power, AB Energia Solutions, Rays Power Infra, Kosol Energie, SuryaLogix, WattSun Energy, Aseem Infrastructure Finance, Serentica Renewables, and Reslink.
Rigorous Selection Process
Raj Prabhu, CEO at Mercom Capital Group, stated: "The Mercom India Awards were created to recognize the companies and individuals setting the standard for excellence in India's renewable energy industry. This year, we are proud to expand that recognition to include R&D-stage technologies, innovators, and institutions whose work is laying the foundation for the next generation of clean energy technologies." He added, "It was an honor to once again present these awards alongside Hon'ble Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi." All winners were selected through an independent evaluation process by Mercom's panel of clean energy experts.

The awards are regarded as one of the highest honors in India's clean energy industry, recognizing excellence in innovation, execution, and market leadership.
