A significant fire incident occurred on Sunday night at an incense stick manufacturing factory located in the Tatyaganj area under the jurisdiction of the Chaubepur police station in Kanpur. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as all workers managed to evacuate the premises in time, averting a potential tragedy.
Factory Operations and Sudden Outbreak of Fire
The factory, operating under the name Green Energy and owned by Shailendra Pal, a resident of Baradevi, was actively engaged in preparing raw materials for incense sticks. According to eyewitness accounts from workers, machines were operational and regular work was underway when the fire suddenly erupted without warning. The flames spread rapidly across the factory premises, creating a hazardous situation.
Immediate Response and Evacuation Efforts
Sensing imminent danger, workers immediately rushed out of the factory, ensuring their own safety. Local villagers quickly mobilized to assist, making initial attempts to control the fire using submersible pumps from nearby areas. However, despite these efforts, the blaze could not be contained due to its intensity and rapid spread.
