A tragic industrial accident in Hisar district claimed one life and left another person injured on Monday morning. The incident occurred during the demolition of an abandoned factory building in Hansi's Ram Singh Colony.
Details of the Hansi Factory Collapse
The fatal accident took place when two workers were engaged in pulling down a wall at the old factory site. Without warning, an adjacent wall suddenly gave way, collapsing and burying both men under a heap of heavy debris. The event unfolded in the morning hours in the Ram Singh Colony area.
Rescue Efforts and Victims Identified
Local authorities, including Tehsildar Anil Kumar Bidhan and a team from Hansi City police station, rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the collapse. Rescue workers managed to pull out the two victims from the rubble.
The deceased has been identified as Keshav, a 40-year-old resident of Hanuman Colony. He was the son of a contractor named Ramu and was working on the demolition alongside his brothers. Keshav is survived by his wife and three children.
The injured worker, Madan, was rescued alive from the debris and promptly admitted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The body of Keshav was recovered and sent to the mortuary of the civil hospital in Hansi for a post-mortem examination.
