According to reports, the company allegedly failed to notify the police about the leak, with the incident only coming to light after the workers were admitted to the hospital. Dimethyl sulphide exposure typically releases vapors that can cause eye irritation and sore throats, which were the primary complaints among the hospitalized workers. Palghar Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh confirmed that the Boisar police registered an offense around 1 pm on Monday and are actively investigating the case. A senior police official stated, "We received information from the hospital on Monday morning and have since begun our investigation." Statements from all 17 workers have been recorded as part of the probe.
