The new service was formally inaugurated on Saturday by DCP (Traffic) Shereen Begum in Vijayawada. According to internal studies conducted by IntrCity SmartBus, air pollution levels inside intercity bus cabins can sometimes reach alarming levels—2 to 3 times higher than the safety limits recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
