Chhattisgarh Government Concludes High-Impact Investor Connect in National Capital

The Chhattisgarh government has successfully concluded a major Investor Connect roadshow in New Delhi, securing substantial financial commitments aimed at accelerating the state's economic growth. The event, held on Wednesday, resulted in confirmed investment pledges totaling a massive ₹6,826 crore, with a significant focus on the specialty steel and tourism sectors.

Major Investment Inflows and Job Creation Potential

Organized by the state's Department of Commerce & Industries in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the event is projected to be a major driver for employment. According to an official government press release, these investments have the potential to create 3,037 new jobs for the people of Chhattisgarh.

A standout announcement came from the APL Apollo Industries Group, which committed to new industrial projects worth ₹1,200 crore within the state. Demonstrating a commitment to social welfare alongside industrial growth, the group also pledged to construct a 100-bed charitable hospital.

Showcasing a Progressive Industrial Policy

The roadshow served as a platform to highlight the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024–30. State officials emphasized that this policy is built on an investor-first approach, featuring a suite of competitive incentives and a framework for fast-track clearances designed to ease the business environment.

In the specialty steel sector, investors showed keen interest in areas like alloy and value-added products. The state is attracting this segment with powerful incentives, including a 30% capital subsidy and additional employment boosters.

The tourism and hospitality sector also garnered significant attention. The government presented diverse opportunities in eco-tourism, cultural circuits, and premium hospitality projects. A key attraction for investors is the state's decision to grant Industry Status to tourism, coupled with enhanced incentives specifically for regions like Bastar and Sarguja.

Leadership's Vision for a Dynamic Chhattisgarh

Hailing the event as a resounding success, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh stated, "Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as one of India’s most dynamic investment destinations… We welcome investors to join us in building a future driven by growth, innovation, and employment." This statement underscores the state's strategic push to position itself as a top-tier hub for business and innovation, inviting national and global players to be part of its growth story.
