Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chabbewal, has assured full support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, outlining several government initiatives aimed at boosting the sector. Speaking at a function in Jalandhar, he emphasized the importance of MSMEs in driving economic growth and employment generation.

Government Initiatives for MSMEs

The minister highlighted the MSME Databank, a centralized database of all MSMEs in Punjab, which helps in policy formulation and targeted support. He also mentioned the single-window clearance system that simplifies regulatory compliance for businesses. Additionally, the government has introduced schemes for financial assistance, technology upgradation, and skill development to enhance competitiveness.

Support for Industrial Growth

Chabbewal stated that the Punjab government is committed to creating a conducive environment for industries. He urged MSME owners to take advantage of these initiatives and contribute to the state's industrial progress. The minister also addressed concerns about infrastructure and assured improvements in power supply and road connectivity in industrial areas.
