Suzuki Motorcycle India Unveils the 2026 Burgman Street with Significant Enhancements

Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the 2026 Burgman Street in the Indian market, marking a notable update to its popular maxi-scooter lineup. This launch introduces two new variants alongside the existing EX trim, bringing a blend of cosmetic refinements, advanced features, and a revamped platform to cater to evolving consumer preferences.

Pricing and Variant Details

The 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street is priced competitively, starting from Rs 1.02 lakh and going up to Rs 1.13 lakh, ex-showroom. The Burgman Street EX trim continues to be available at Rs 1.08 lakh without any modifications, offering buyers a range of options to suit different budgets and needs.

Design and Aesthetic Updates

Visually, the updated model retains its signature maxi-scooter stance but incorporates several noticeable tweaks. The front end now boasts a revised split-LED headlamp setup with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), giving it a more modern and aggressive look. The apron has been redesigned to appear sharper and sleeker, while a newly-designed LED taillamp enhances the rear aesthetics.

In terms of color options, Suzuki has expanded the palette to include:

  • Pearl Grace White
  • Mat Stellar Blue
  • Royal Bronze
  • Mat Black
  • Pearl Mat Shadow Green

The top variant offers dual-tone finishes with Mat Luxe Copper, adding a touch of luxury and exclusivity.

New Features and Practical Improvements

One of the key highlights of the 2026 update is the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing convenience and connectivity. The top-spec variant now comes equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster that includes navigation capabilities, providing riders with real-time information and guidance. Additionally, it features a keyless ignition system operated via a multifunction key fob, streamlining the starting process.

Lower variants, however, continue with an LCD display and a conventional key setup, ensuring affordability while maintaining core functionality. Practicality has been significantly improved with increased underseat storage, which has been expanded to 24.6 litres from the previous 21.5 litres. Other enhancements include USB charging ports and twin front storage compartments, making daily commutes more convenient.

Engine and Platform Upgrades

The 2026 Burgman Street is now based on a new platform derived from the Suzuki Access, offering a more refined riding experience. The updated frame is claimed to be 500 grams lighter while providing 25 per cent higher torsional rigidity, which should improve handling and stability.

Powering the scooter remains the same 124cc, air-cooled engine, but it has been tuned to deliver enhanced performance. It now produces 8.4 horsepower and 10.2 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox for smooth and efficient power delivery. This combination aims to offer a balanced mix of power and fuel efficiency for urban and highway riding.

Overall, the 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street represents a comprehensive update that addresses both aesthetic and functional aspects, positioning it as a strong contender in the competitive Indian scooter market.
