CII Tamil Nadu Bestows Prestigious Chairman's Commendation Award on Trichy Zone
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamil Nadu held its state annual meeting for 2025-26 in Chennai on Saturday, where a significant highlight was the presentation of the CII Tamil Nadu Chairman's Commendation Award to the Trichy zone. This award acknowledges the zone's proactive and dedicated participation in advancing the mission and core values of CII across the region.
IMPACT Framework Drives Recognition
The Trichy zone's recognition stems largely from its implementation of the innovative IMPACT framework, which stands for Inclusivity, Multidimension, Policy Advocacy, Action Oriented, Connectivity, and Talent & Academic. This comprehensive strategy has been instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship and significantly boosting employment opportunities in the area. By focusing on these key pillars, the zone has created a robust ecosystem that supports business growth and workforce development.
Key Initiatives That Earned the Award
Several specific initiatives were cited as reasons for this prestigious award. Notably, the 'Discover Trichy' report was highlighted for its strategic aim to attract Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to Trichy, positioning the city as a hub for global business operations. Additionally, the launch of the Indian Women Network (IWN), a dedicated vertical designed to empower women entrepreneurs, played a crucial role. The zone also conducted district connect programs across all eight districts in the region, fostering local engagement and collaboration.
Ajay Jayaraj, past Chairman of CII Trichy, emphasized the impact of these efforts: "The launching of the Indian Women Network and the conduct of district connect in all eight districts were vital in securing this recognition. We also organized a mega job fair, further demonstrating our commitment to employment generation."
Strong Membership and Retention
CII Trichy has demonstrated remarkable organizational strength, with 117 members and an impressive retention rate of 99% for the financial year 2025-26. This high retention rate underscores the zone's effectiveness in serving its members and maintaining a vibrant business community, contributing to its overall success and recognition by CII Tamil Nadu.
