The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at seven locations across Mumbai, Gurugram, and Bengaluru on Thursday in connection with a case registered against Reliance Communications Ltd (RCom), a company under the Anil Ambani-led Reliance ADA Group.
Searches Target Former Executives
The searches were carried out at the residential premises of the then chief executive officer (CEO), chief financial officer (CFO), and directors of the company who served during the 2015–2017 period. The raids were executed based on search warrants issued on May 14 by the special judge for CBI cases in Mumbai.
Incriminating Documents Seized
The agency stated that the searches led to the seizure of incriminating documents. Further investigation in the matter is currently underway. The CBI has not disclosed further details about the nature of the case or the documents recovered.
