By the close of the first day, the overall subscription rate reached just 6%. Retail investors demonstrated the strongest appetite, subscribing 28% of their allocated portion. Non-institutional investors showed modest interest with 4% subscription, while qualified institutional buyers had not yet placed any bids.

IPO Details and Company Valuation

Amagi Media Labs aims to raise ₹1,788 crore through this maiden share sale. The offering will close on January 16. The company has set the price band between ₹343 and ₹361 per share.

At the upper end of this range, Amagi Media Labs commands a valuation exceeding ₹7,800 crore. The issue comprises two components: a fresh equity issuance worth ₹816 crore and an offer for sale of 2.7 crore shares valued at ₹972.6 crore.

Stakeholders and Fund Utilization

Several prominent investors will reduce their holdings through the offer for sale. These include PI Opportunities Fund I and II, Norwest Venture Partners X–Mauritius, Accel India VI (Mauritius) Ltd, Trudy Holdings, and certain individual shareholders.

The company plans to use ₹550 crore from the fresh issue to strengthen its technology and cloud infrastructure. Additional funds will support inorganic growth through acquisitions and meet general corporate expenses.

Listing Timeline and Grey Market Activity

The allotment for this public offer is scheduled for finalization on January 19. Successful applicants can expect listing on both the BSE and NSE on January 21.

In the unofficial grey market, Amagi Media Labs shares commanded a premium of ₹17 above the upper price band. This suggests a potential listing price of ₹378, representing a 4.71% premium over the issue price.
