Ahmedabad Woman Files Complaint Against Sons for Assets

A 60-year-old woman residing in the Narol area of Ahmedabad has lodged a formal police complaint against her two sons, accusing them of unlawfully taking control of their deceased father’s assets shortly after his death. The woman further alleges that her sons threatened to kill her when she confronted them about the matter.

Details of the Alleged Fraud

The woman’s husband passed away on February 6 of the previous year. According to her complaint, one of her sons transferred Rs 4.3 lakh from the deceased’s bank account through multiple online transactions within just five days of his death. Additionally, he is accused of tampering with the nominee details on three fixed deposits, each valued at Rs 10 lakh, by using OTPs and net banking access from the deceased’s mobile phone.

Other Assets Taken

The complainant also stated that her sons took away her husband’s gold jewellery and a recently purchased Honda City car without her consent. The woman approached the police after her repeated objections were met with threats.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have launched an investigation into the allegations, which include bank fraud, tampering of fixed deposit records, and theft of jewellery and a vehicle. The police are examining the bank transactions and other related evidence to build a case against the accused sons.
