The Indian Army detained a 14-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) who allegedly crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered Indian territory in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Tuesday evening.

Incident Details

According to an official, around 7 pm, Javed Ali from Tetrinote in PoK was detained near the LoC in the Gulpur sector of Poonch. Preliminary investigations suggest that he may have inadvertently strayed across the border.

Investigation and Custody

The teenager was taken into custody for questioning to ascertain the circumstances under which he entered Indian territory. Sources said the Army handed him over to the Jullas police post in Poonch. He is likely to be repatriated after a thorough investigation.
