UPSC Extends NDA, NA and CDS Application Deadline to June 11

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced an extension of the last date for submission of applications for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination-II, 2026, as well as the Combined Defence Services Examination-II, 2026. According to the latest official notice, candidates can now complete and submit their applications until 6:00 PM on June 11, 2026.

Revised Application Schedule for NDA II and CDS II

The online registration process for both examinations commenced on May 20, 2026. With the extension, the deadline for application submission and fee payment has been pushed to June 11, 2026. The examinations are scheduled to be conducted on September 13, 2026, and admit cards will be issued prior to the exam date.

NDA II 2026 Vacancies and Eligibility

The NDA II recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 394 vacancies. These include 208 posts in the Army wing, 42 in the Navy, 120 in the Air Force, and 24 in the Naval Academy. Candidates applying for the Army wing must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 from a recognized board. For the Air Force and Naval wings, applicants must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. As per the notification, candidates must have been born between January 1, 2008, and January 1, 2011, inclusive.

CDS II 2026 Details and Vacancies

The CDS II 2026 application process also began on May 20, 2026, and will now remain open until June 11, 2026. The examination is scheduled for September 13, 2026. UPSC is conducting the CDS II examination for a total of 451 vacancies. The distribution includes 100 posts in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), 32 in the Air Force Academy, 26 in the Indian Naval Academy, and 293 posts in the Officers Training Academy (OTA). For IMA and OTA, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Applicants for the Naval Academy must hold an engineering degree, while candidates for the Air Force Academy must have a bachelor's degree and should have studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. For CDS II, eligible candidates must have been born not earlier than July 1, 2003, and not later than July 1, 2008.

Candidates who have not yet completed their applications are advised to take advantage of the extended deadline and register through the UPSC application portal. This extension provides additional time for those who may have missed the original deadline.
