Mathura: In a tragic incident on Monday, two women lost their lives and 13 others sustained injuries when a Uttar Pradesh Roadways bus, traveling at high speed, overturned near the Farah toll plaza on the Delhi-Agra highway around 1 pm.

Details of the Accident

The bus was en route from Goverdhan to Agra. According to passengers, the driver—who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol—lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle recklessly at high speed. Despite repeated objections from passengers regarding his erratic driving, the driver ignored their concerns, leading to the fatal crash.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Sangeeta Singh (25), a resident of Agra who was returning home after performing the 'Govardhan parikrama', and Chanchal Singh Chahar (19), from Mathura, who was traveling to Agra to take a police recruitment examination.
