The training of the 150th course at the National Defence Academy (NDA) culminated with the Passing Out Parade held on Saturday morning at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground. Displaying exceptional precision and discipline, 353 cadets, including 18 female cadets and 24 cadets from 12 friendly foreign countries, marched shoulder to shoulder crossing the Antim Pag to the tunes of Auld Lang Syne. The moment evoked pride and admiration amongst the spectators, which included proud parents, distinguished dignitaries, school children, civilians, and serving as well as retired personnel from the defence forces.
Reviewing Officer and Parade Conduct
General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, was the Reviewing Officer for the parade. The parade was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Avinash Pandey, SM, Adjutant, astride his charger Reliant Robin. The parade was commanded by Academy Cadet Captain (ACC) Mayank Choudhary of Lima Squadron. A flypast by Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft marked the culmination of the event.
Highlights of the Ceremony
The Sarang Helicopter Aerobatics Team also performed during the event, adding to the grandeur. The Khetarpal Parade Ground witnessed a spectacular display of military precision as the cadets marched in perfect synchrony. The presence of 18 female cadets and international participants underscored the inclusivity and global reach of the NDA.
