Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line Peak-Hour Frequency Up

Commuters in Bengaluru have received significant relief as the Namma Metro Yellow Line improves its peak-hour frequency. The new schedule reduces waiting times during rush hours to just six minutes, down from the previous eight-minute interval. This enhancement aims to ease the daily travel burden for thousands of passengers who rely on this corridor.

Improved Frequency Details

During non-peak hours, the frequency will now be ten minutes, compared to the earlier fourteen-minute gap. The adjustment is expected to reduce overcrowding and provide a more efficient travel experience. The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) implemented these changes after analyzing passenger flow data and feedback from regular users.

Impact on Daily Commute

The Yellow Line connects key areas such as RV Road to Bommasandra, serving both residential and industrial zones. With the improved frequency, office-goers and students can expect shorter wait times, especially during morning and evening peak periods. BMRCL officials stated that the move aligns with their commitment to enhancing urban mobility.
