A fire broke out at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) near ITO in New Delhi on Monday morning. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
Fire Incident Details
An employee of SPA alerted the police at 10 am after noticing smoke and flames emanating from the faculty rooms in the administrative block on the second floor of the building. Police personnel were immediately dispatched to the location, and eight fire tenders were pressed into service to combat the blaze.
Firefighting Operation
Firefighters worked diligently to prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the building. After approximately an hour, they successfully extinguished the fire. Police personnel assisted in securing the area and ensuring the safety of everyone on the premises.
Assessment of Damage
The extent of damage caused by the fire is yet to be fully assessed. Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the fire, police officials stated.
