MPESB Postpones Forest Guard Exam Second Shift to June 20

The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has announced the postponement of the second shift of the combined recruitment examination for Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari, and Assistant Jail Superintendent posts, originally scheduled for June 7, 2026. The decision was taken due to a technical glitch that prevented the smooth conduct of the exam.

New Exam Date Announced

According to an official statement, the affected candidates will now appear for the examination on June 20, 2026, during the first shift from 10 AM to 12 Noon. The board clarified that only the second shift of June 7 was impacted; the first shift was conducted successfully as planned.

Fresh Admit Card Required

Candidates whose exam was postponed must download a new admit card from the official MPESB website, esb.mp.gov.in, using their login credentials. The fresh admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination centre. Along with the admit card, candidates need to carry an original photo identity proof and any other documents specified by the board. Without valid documents, candidates may be denied entry.

Recruitment Overview

The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,111 vacancies across multiple posts, including Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari, and Assistant Jail Superintendent. The examination process commenced on June 4 and is scheduled to continue until June 19 for other candidates not affected by the postponement.

Candidates Face Inconvenience

Reports indicate that hundreds of candidates had already reached examination centres in districts like Satna for the second shift. Due to a server-related issue, the exam could not start, and candidates reportedly waited for hours before being informed about the postponement. Many expressed disappointment, especially those who travelled long distances to appear for the exam.

MPESB has advised all affected candidates to regularly check the official website for updates regarding admit cards and examination-related instructions. The board also urged candidates to read the official notice for further details.
