Jordon Hudson is once again targeting CBS following Bill Belichick's awkward interview with the network, which became one of the biggest sports media stories of the year. The 25-year-old fired back on social media this week, demanding the release of the full interview footage and transcript from Belichick's April 2025 appearance on CBS News Sunday Morning.
Background of the Controversy
The interview was originally intended to promote Bill Belichick's book The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football. Instead, it quickly went viral after Hudson interrupted a question about how she and the 74-year-old coach first met. That clip spread across social media, drawing heavy attention to their relationship and sparking debates about Hudson's influence over the former New England Patriots coach.
Accusations of Deceptive Editing
Now, both Hudson and Belichick accuse CBS of editing the interview in a misleading way. Hudson shared a video clip featuring CBS anchor Tony Dokoupil speaking about trust issues inside the network. Along with it, she wrote: "Release the unedited transcript. Release the unedited footage. Holding you to it."
The controversy escalated after Belichick spoke about the interview on Fox News host Sean Hannity's podcast. During Hang Out with Sean Hannity, Hannity told Belichick he was "stunned" by the CBS interview and suggested the legendary coach consider suing the network.
Belichick's Response
Belichick responded by saying he felt the interview was not presented honestly. "You know, as we've seen recently, there have been more editing problems, and they go back over a couple of years—multiple examples of editing and interview process and all that," Belichick said. "I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively. I've asked for the transcript from them, and they won't give it to me. They've done that with others. I'm not really sure what that policy is."
The longtime NFL coach also questioned whether CBS is living up to the trust it publicly promotes. "I'm kind of confused about some of the things that they say they are, but I don't really see them living up to the trust that they talk about," Belichick added.
Wider Context for CBS
The situation comes during a difficult period for CBS and its parent company Paramount. According to reports, CBS recently faced internal controversy after a planned 60 Minutes segment connected to El Salvador detention center abuse claims was reportedly pulled. The company also settled a lawsuit with Donald Trump last year over the editing of an interview with Kamala Harris. Neither CBS nor Paramount has publicly released the full Belichick interview footage or transcript so far.
