Sonali Bendre on 'Raakh': Intense Role, Emotional Balance

The world behind lights, camera, and action has more layers than what meets the eye. In most acting jobs, mental strength and emotional grit play a greater role than physical effort. Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, who has been ruling both the big and small screen for years, shares this belief. When she was offered her latest project, 'Raakh,' she acknowledged and appreciated the intensity it demanded.

Sonali Bendre on the Impact of 'Raakh'

In an exclusive conversation, the actress revealed, 'Over the last few years, I found myself naturally gravitating towards stories that felt lighter emotionally. So when Raakh came along, I did wonder what it would be like to spend so much time in such an intense emotional space.' She continued, 'What surprised me was realising that I was able to engage with those emotions without carrying them home with me. As an actor, that was reassuring.'

Highlighting the importance of balance, she added, 'It reminded me that you can go to difficult places in your work and remain grounded in yourself.'
