'Peddi' has emerged as one of the biggest hits, grossing over Rs 248.92 crore globally within five days of its release. According to live numbers, the film earned Rs 58 lakh during morning shows across 1,909 shows, as reported by Sacnilk.

Apart from its box office success, the film has been in the news due to criticism over Janhvi Kapoor's role as Achiyamma. A large segment of the audience criticized the film for objectifying her and mishandling the character. Following the backlash, the director issued an apology and confirmed that necessary changes would be made to the film.
