A Closer Look at 'Grey'

The album begins with sorrowful tunes and concludes with a sense of brighter hope. Comprising 10 songs, 'Grey' includes a track titled 'Simpler Times,' which evokes nostalgia for a bygone era. In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Sutherland shared, "I don't have a computer. I work with people who have computers. So, I have access to it," adding that he avoids answering 300 emails after returning home.

The inspiration for 'Simpler Times' came from watching his children and grandchildren grow up. "I was just really reflecting on how lucky I felt that I was to have had a different experience," he stated. He recalled weekends spent playing with kids from 9 in the morning until 6 in the evening for dinner, emphasizing that everything else was secondary.
