A disturbing incident of illegal sand mining has come to light in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district, where a head constable was injured after a suspected illegal miner allegedly tried to run him over during a routine check. The incident occurred late Tuesday night in Kamthi village.
Details of the Incident
The injured officer, head constable Rajeshwar Rahangdale, was acting on information about illegal sand transportation in the area. He reached the spot along with fellow constable Sunil Vishwakarma for verification. During the operation, a tractor loaded with sand allegedly hit the head constable. Videos from the scene purportedly show the vehicle carrying sand.
