Patna: The state industry department conducted a one-day review and recognition programme on Friday, bringing together district officials to evaluate the progress of various schemes and tackle implementation hurdles. During the presentations, officials highlighted issues related to investment proposals, bank coordination, land availability, loan approvals, and the establishment of industrial units. Challenges faced by startups and entrepreneurs, including access to finance, market linkages, mentorship, and business expansion support, were also discussed in detail.
Key Directives and Attendees
The department directed districts to expedite the disposal of pending cases, promptly address entrepreneurs' grievances, strengthen investor facilitation, and enhance awareness of government schemes. The programme was attended by senior officials, including industries department secretary-cum-managing director of BIADA and IDA Kundan Kumar, special secretary Arvind Kumar Verma, director (handloom and sericulture) Bidya Nand Singh, director (MSME) Aman Sameer, director (industries) Mukul Kumar Gupta, and additional secretary Anil Kumar. Representatives of Razorpay also participated in the event.
Recognition and Awards
Following the review, districts, banks, startups, exporters, industrial units, and departmental personnel were felicitated for their performance. In the manufacturing export category, Unique Foods of Muzaffarpur, Ripuraj Agro Private Limited of Purvi Champaran, and Competence Exports of Vaishali were honoured. Startup awards went to Hiprotech India Technology Private Limited, Sarva Suvidhaen Private Limited, and Bhojpatta Agripreneur Pvt Ltd. Among SIPB-supported units, GOGREEN Apparel Limited, Prince Pipes and Fittings Ltd of Begusarai, and Rachna Udyog of Purnia received recognition. Officers and staff from BIADA, engineering wings, and departmental directorates were also honoured for their contributions.
Banking and District Rankings
In the banking category, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, and UCO Bank were recognised for supporting industry and entrepreneurship. District rankings for implementation of departmental schemes were topped by Siwan, followed by Rohtas and Samastipur.
MoU with Razorpay Rize
An MoU was signed between the industries department and Razorpay Rize under Startup Bihar to provide mentorship, digital solutions, financial management support, networking opportunities, and access to national startup ecosystems. This partnership aims to bolster the startup landscape in the state.
